Yep, research on genetics has nothing to do with the public good. Finding a better understanding of things like cancer, Huntington’s disease, and ALS, and possibly finding cures, has naught to do with the public good.

I loathe Sarah Palin. I despise her supporters, but they don’t really know much better. Palin is running for the vice presidency, for Christ’s sake. She should know better.
